I’ve tried a few eco-developers for paper over the years and have been pleasantly surprised by E-72, a Dektol type developer, by Chris Patton. It’s a phenidone/vitamin C paper developer concentrate and gives results very similar to AGFA 100, D-72, etc. In fact, I believe it’s indistinguishable, more cost effective, and definitely kinder to the environment!
